Building Without a Design

I’m essentially building a box. A box without any plans. Whatever happens within and without my box will be pure organic growth. Building without a design is a little like flying without a flight plan. I know that I want to get from A to B (B being four walls and a roof), but how I get there is being decided, well, on the fly. But to further stretch the analogy, I’ve never flown a plane before and don’t even know what I don’t know. Rapid Rich is my co-pilot. That is, for 15 minutes each morning and before or after his tea breaks, but he’s also available for consultation at any time, just by trudging down the path to his building site. In Rich, I trust. Here’s hoping that my box grows well and the wings don’t fall off the plane. I need to work on my metaphors.
